Project Description:
Construction of new 3000m2 Material Recycling Facility with 10000m2 external reinforced concrete hardstanding area.
Works Included:
- Foundations
- Vibro piles
- Drainage – including storm water attenuation
- Construction of Reinforced Concrete external and internal slabs
- Installation of Pre-cast concrete retaining walls
- Installation of Sheet pile retaining walls
- Erection of Structural steel portal framed building
- Roof and wall cladding
- M&E installation
- Construction and surfacing of new access roads and car park areas
Achieving the short construction programme was paramount to the client so some time saving construction materials and techniques such as pre fabricated concrete units, fibre mesh concrete and pre fabricated formwork were utilised to ensure that deadlines were met.
