Project Description:
Remediation of land formerly used as a bolt factory in preparation for future housing development.
Works Included:
- General site clearance works
- Demolition works including breaking out foundations, crushing and placing rubble
- Excavation of approximately 15000m3 of contaminated soils with 2500m3 being removed off site in a controlled manner and 12500m3 being bio-remediated in situ using both biopile and windrow methods
- Formation of temporary drainage system
- Forming capping layer from 5000m3 of imported material
