Building
The Building Division was formed in 1995 to expand on our existing construction capability, and in the 10 years since, has grown steadily both in terms of workload and experience. A number of key appointments have supplemented this growth and we now have the in-house expertise to successfully undertake almost all types of building works, from minor repairs of a few thousand pounds, to the most complex multi-million pound design and build contracts. Among our recently completed projects are several office developments, industrial units, pharmaceutical facilities, health centres, a clubhouse and extensions to an abattoir and a supermarket distribution depot.
A significant element of our growth has been our increasing level of repeat business from design teams and long term customers, some of whom started with us carrying out relatively minor maintenance work and repairs. While we continue to provide this service, we are now providing a number of these Clients with new build facilities up to several million pounds in value. It is important to us that we continue to build on these relationships and we remain focused on providing both existing and new clients with a service of the highest quality.
To further enhance our ability to provide Clients with a complete range of services, we have formed our own development company, and are currently constructing a new business park at Port Dundas in Glasgow.
The park consists of 200,000 sq ft of new office space in a number of units designed to meet individual client requirements.

Ian Barclay
Contracts Manager
Ian entered the Industry in 1985 and following a 4 year Joinery apprenticeship, achieved City and Guilds Advanced Craft and Supplementary Studies.
Ian gained valuable practical experience for over 10 years "on the tools" and in 1995 made the transition into site management with one of the leading names in construction.
Ian brings extensive site management experience covering Industrial units, Hotels, Offices and Manufacturing Facilities to our Building Division.
