Civil Engineering
The Civil Engineering division has proven a great success for Luddon. It was formed as a specialist services section in 1994 with an annual turnover of between £7 and £10 million and carries out as many as 90 new projects each year.
Our client base is broad and diverse and includes works for the following:
- Local Health Trusts;
- Ministry of Defence at the Coulport, Faslane and Glen Douglas establishments;
- Network Rail, Scotland;
- Allied Distillers Ltd;
- Local Authority Roadworks and Cycle Paths;
- Scottish Office Motorway and Trunk Road Lane Rental Contracts;
- Brown Field Sites, Bio-Remediation Works;
- Selected Management Contractors;
- Site Servicing Contracts for large scale Housing Developments
Many of our Tender Enquiries are based on previously successful contracts with a particular Client.
This division takes particular pride in the execution of its Roadwork contracts and in particular, its ability to not only meet, but beat, the contract programme associated with Lane Rental contracts in Central Scotland .
Luddon has an exceptional tender success rate and is invariably involved in the majority of such roadworks, either as a Main Contractor or as a Sub-Contractor to the National Surfacing Companies.
Whilst Client satisfaction is our main aim in terms of budget, programme and quality, we do not forget our Health and Safety obligations whilst working in dangerous locations.
At all times the safety of our staff, labour force and the public is paramount as we aim to protect this image.
