Commercial
The Commercial Department acts as a service and support to the respective divisions within the company. We cover many functions, a summary of which is detailed below:
- Assist in the preparation of Interim Measurements and Final Accounts.
- Identify variations
- Star rates for measurement and valuation purposes and pricing up of same.
- Preparation and analysis of turnovers and costs for monthly internal reporting including cost value reconciliation's.
- Applications for payment
- Invoicing to clients / employers and payment of domestic and labour only Sub-Contractors.
- Attending Pre-Start Meetings in respect of main contracts.
- Sub-contracts and attending Progress Meetings during the contract.
- Checking contract conditions/ clauses in respect of potential contracts /projects.
- Setting up Sub-Contracts.
- Writing contractual correspondence.
- Dealing with Insurance Claims and Sub-Contractor claims.
The Commercial Department works very closely with each division within Luddon enabling us to help develop a good internal working relationship. This in turn contributes to the overall success of Luddon Construction.
