Petrochemical Civils

Grangemouth Petrochemical PlantLuddon Construction initially became involved in the Petrochemical Industry with their appointment by BP FPS (Forties Pipeline Service) Chemicals as the Term Contractorfor Building and Civils work at the Grangemouth complex in 1987.

After attaining 'Term Contractor' status Luddon was in a position to successfully bid in open tender for BP FPS (Forties Pipeline Service) capital expenditure contracts. As the work load expanded within the BP Ineos complex so did the Luddon presence at Grangemouth. By 1994 Luddon Construction had started taking on work for other Petrochemical related companies and have developed a client base in and around Grangemouth including Enichem, GE Plastics, Ross Chemicals, Zeneca (I.C.I.), Rhom Haas and Forth Ports Authority.

The experience gained from working for this variety of clients enables Luddon Construction to undertake a vast array of contracts from small works to multi-million pound Alliance contracts.

The recent developments of our primary client BP FPS (Forties Pipeline Service) in the creation of Ineos, devolving chemicals and the refinery from the main stream BP FPS (Forties Pipeline Service) operation and the subsequent sale of Innovene to Ineos have created tremendous opportunities for the division both in Grangemouth and also further a field. We now operate from coast to coast with upgrading improvements happening on pipelines and installations from Finnart Ocean Terminal through Grangemouth to the Borders.
