Plant and Transport
The Plant & Transport Department operates a comprehensive fleet of modern plant and vehicles to suit the diverse requirements of Luddon's various divisions.
Currently we operate 180 degree excavators, 360 degree tracked and wheeled excavators, ranging from 13 to 32 tonnes, plus bulldozers.
Additionally we have a fleet of 16 tonne lorries and other specialised items of plant including roadbrushes, cranes, grab lorries, Bitelli road surfacing equipment, vactors and a low loaders.
The backbone of the company is our fleet of vans and mini buses that are essential in allowing the company to mobilise our workforce quickly and efficiently to sites across the country.
The fleet is overseen by our workshop manager and expertly maintained in our own workshops by trained staff, who operate an intensive maintenance programme to ensure that each vehicle is operating both efficiently and safely.
Our Plant and Transport Department also offer their services to external clients through plant hiring and earth moving contracts.
We provide a winter gritting program for Innovene Grangemouth utilising our Turbo gritters.
