Adrian Aikman

Training Manager

Adrian joined the Company in 1999 and spent 5 years assisting Edwin Bauer in the Health & Safety Department and also working closely with the Training Centre since it’s conception in 2002.

Adrian took up the position of Training Manager in 2004 and is responsible for all Internal and external training and the management of staff and operatives Training Records.

Qualifications include a Diploma in Health & Safety Management and membership of IOSH.

Education and Training

AssesementHaving appraised the changing needs of our company and the industry in general, Luddon made a decision to form an ‘in house’ training centre. This centre is CITB/City and Guilds accredited and is now self sufficient in satisfying our own company needs and also those of our sub-contractors and external clients.

In this way we can now ensure that our staff and operatives are trained in many areas such as Health & Safety, Plant Operation and Maintenance, First-Aid as well as more specialised areas such as Confined Space Entry and Use of High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment and can demonstrate competence to both our clients and industry bodies.

This foresight keeps Luddon Construction at the cutting edge of the industry and demonstrates our commitment to complying with Government and Major Contractors Group initiatives and meeting the targets set.

All our staff and operatives have CPCS/CSCS cards and we participate in ‘on site’ assessment training whereby we endeavour to ‘upskill’ our employees for both their personal and the company’s benefit.

This demonstrates our continued commitment to Health and Safety and Training for our 400 existing staff/operatives and also future new recruits.
