Spread the Word – Luddon Continue to Improve!

23 February 2017

Safety will always be at the top of the agenda for Luddon regardless of where we work or who we work for, and we all know just how important a good safety behaviour, culture and performance is within the Petrochemical working environment.

On the 8th of February 2017 Luddon Construction Petrochemical Division held a Safety and Business Performance Review, presented at the Lea Park Hotel to over 200 of our employees working in Grangemouth.

Our Health & Safety Manager, Steve Casci, opened the presentation with a Health and Safety performance update delivering the good news that our performance in 2016 was the best we have seen yet! Steve emphasised the need to continuously improve from this great platform for the year ahead.

Divisional Director, Alex Morrison, highlighted the importance for all those present in the room to take an added personal responsibility, asking all to maintain the highest levels of personal and team discipline in order to keep getting the basics right every time.

Further presentations were delivered by General Foreman, Jock Merrilees, and Contracts Manager, Peter Gilchrist, in relation to ‘what we are going to do differently’ and ‘Right to Challenge’ respectively.

The session was brought to a close by Divisional Manager, Andy McEwan, who covered the diverse range of major project and term maintenance works successfully delivered during 2016, including civils and structural steelwork contracts, as per the above photo. Andy thanked everyone in the room for their contribution to Luddon’s ongoing success, and importantly reminded the whole team to remain safe at all times!
