Project Description:

Phases 1, 2 & 3 of cycle shelters at the following train stations: Bathgate; Linlithgow; Livingston North; Inverkeithing; Largs; Dumfries; Gourock; Drem; Falkirk High; Larbert; Lenzie; Hamilton Central; North Berwick; Motherwell; Polmont; Uddingston.

Works Included:

Excavation and construction of concrete slabs to allow installation of the cycle shelters. Other associated civil engineering works are undertaken depending on the requirements of each station, details below:

• Installation of bollards/street furniture
• Steel works
• New tar works
• Whitelining
• Overhead line electrical bonding works
• Fencing
• Failsafe working
• Use of water filled ‘evo’ barriers to ensure no plant comes with 2.75m of the platform
• Use of slew restricting excavators to ensure no plant comes with 2.75m of the platform
