Construction of new engineering and maintenance workshop for Lothian Buses

• Demolition of existing building and removal of asbestos roof sheets
• Reduced levels digs and removal of material
• Removal of contaminated ground where there was high levels of hydrocarbons
• Piling platform for vibro compaction
• Reinforced concrete pad foundations and strip foundations
• 70m x 75m structural steel portal frame
• Roof and wall cladding including membrane roof
• Brick and block walls
• Bus chassis  wash
• Fuelling stations
• 52m long Mot test and maintenance pits
• 15m maintenance pits 
• 2 fuel tanks 12 x 3.5 x 3.5 with a 126,000l capacity
• Stud partitioning
• Mechanical and electrical fit out including ventilation
• Pre-cast concrete stairs
• Metal fire escape and stair balustrade
• IPS toilet panel systems
• Installation of under floor heating
• Wet rooms
• Metal decking for upper office
• Fit out and decoration of office area
• Insulated overhead doors
• Drainage including storm cell attenuation and filter trenches
• Surfacing
• Installation of platform lift
• New water main, gas main and substation for power
• Construction of timber crib acoustic wall
