Project Description:

Construction of a new build crematorium at a site off A760 in Dalry, Ayrshire

Works Included:

• Extensive civils package with the added challenge of predominantly peat based ground conditions
• This included construction of a 300m ‘floating road’
• Primary and secondary overflow car parks and drainage to take the capacity of rainfall over the large site area
• The construction of a new timber kit and steel frame incorporated a main ceremony hall, reception area, toilets, administrative and other staff accommodation
• The building envelope was brought together with Bradstone block 355mm high and Scotlarch timber vertical cladding
• Large glazing/curtain walling components to open up the scenic views of the Dalry hills
