Project Description:

Design and build of 25,000ft² Maturation Warehouse at London Road, Glasgow. The warehouse will provide storage for spirit casks

Works Included:

  • Site clearance and pile mat preparation
  • 720no stone vibration piles installed, to support the foundations and warehouse floor
  • 300m of surface drainage and associated manholes
  • Ring beam foundations, extending some 200m in length
  • Propped steel frame installation
  • 2,400m² of Kingspan insulated roof panels
  • Cladding to walls, including ridge flashings, drip trays and downpipes
  • Louvre and roof cowl installation to ensure appropriate ventilation
  • 2,400m² of Visqueen membrane installed under concrete slab, with associated steel mesh, in line with specifications
  • 350m³ of concrete cast to form floor within warehouse
  • Electrical ducting and containment
  • Mechanical sprinkler system installation, hydrant installation and new underground water mains
  • Construction of new electrical and mechanical plant rooms
  • Roller shutter door and steel pedestrian doors installed
  • Concrete retaining wall installation
  • Road and footpath upgrades around perimeter of building
  • The warehouse will be a DSEAR explosive environment when occupied and therefore ATEX rated service installations shall be required along with increased fire suppression
