Course Duration
2 days block release

The Aim of the Course is to:
To assist site management and supervisory personnel to:

• Identify changes to legislation
• Manage health and safety on site in accordance with the current legal provisions and within the context of their management or supervisory role
• Develop an understanding of their responsibilities and accountability for site health, safety and welfare
• Recognise that a safe site is efficient, economical and productive

Who Should Attend The Course?
All Site Managers and Supervisory Personnel with a current SMSTS certificate due to expire

Course Summary
Candidates will participate in theory lessons and practical exercises all of which are highlighted by the use of OHP & Videos, covering the following:

• Introduction to Health & Safety responsibilities
• Managing Health & Safety
• Responsibilities of managers and supervisors
• Measuring, monitoring and auditing health and safety performance
• Provision of information and training
• Control of hazards and risks

CITB Site Safety Plus - Site Management Safety Training Scheme Certificate

Refresher Period
The Site Management Safety Training Scheme Certificate is renewable every 5 years. Please note that there is no grace perion, therefore the certificate must be renewed prior to the expiry date.
