Eastleigh Borough Council is building a new development, called One Horton Heath, to the west of the present Horton Heath, set in 355 acres running alongside Burnetts Lane and Chalcroft Business Park to the south and Allington Lane to the north.
As part of the Council’s Infrastructure First commitment, Luddon Construction have been appointed to build the remaining one-mile route section between Burnetts Lane roundabout to the south and Allington Lane roundabout to the north, that will provide an important travel connection between Hedge End and Fair Oak.
Construction of the link road commenced in spring 2023 and is due for completion in summer 2024.
