Monthly Safety Award presented to New Ground Flares Project Team!

Luddon Construction are delighted to have presented our team working on the new ground flares project with a Monthly Safety Award for their performance.

Working on behalf of INEOS FPS and Kent Energies Ltd in Grangemouth, Luddon have been appointed to carry out the multi-million pound civils works associated with the construction of two new ground flares.

Works are located within the highly regulated live plant at Grangemouth; therefore Health, Safety and Environmental processes and procedures are key to ensuring the safety of people, the protection of the environment and ongoing assurance that the plant remains fully operational during this project. The work is estimated to be complete in February 2024.

Civils works for the project include platform construction for cranes and piling rigs, micro-piling for above-ground pipe work foundations, pile cap construction for 21 foundations, construction of 200 pre-cast and insitu flaring shelters, utility pipework plinths across the site and construction of ducting and services.

Ally Klimowicz, Ground Flares Project Site Manager for Luddon Construction, said: ”Given the safety critical nature of the INEOS FPS Grangemouth asset, our full team are acutely aware of the importance of ongoing excellent health, safety and environmental performance and we must continually find that critical balance between successful project execution and, fundamentally, ensuring the ongoing health, safety and wellbeing of everyone associated with the project. This is something we have been doing very well. It’s great to be recognised for our efforts!"
