Work has completed on the circa £7m design and build of five retail units for Ediston Properties, which is part of a large new development area on the west side of Haddington to create Gateside West Retail Park.

Luddon Construction were appointed as Main Contractor with CSQ Consultant as Project Manager, Smith Design Associates as Architect, CBA as Quantity Surveyor, KJ Tait as Mechanical and Electrical Consultant and Quattro as Engineer.

The work involved foundations, concrete slab, steel structure and dividing walls with blockwork and fire lined metal stud partitions.

There was also 2000m³ attenuation system, car park with surfacing and permeable paving, concrete service yard and landscaping.

The new retail park will host stores from Aldi, Home Bargains, The Food Warehouse and Costa Coffee Drive Thru at the main retail park entrance.
