A huge congratulations to our team at SPEN Cumberhead who have picked up last month’s Safety Award! These awards are given out each month to the best performing project and site teams. This award represents the third Safety Award in a row for our Infrastructure Division working on SPEN projects.

During this project the works have been executed with ongoing excellent safety performance. Not only are the site team performing very well in terms of our ongoing risk management and mitigation but our team have proved to be highly effective when highlighting Safety Operations and Opportunities for Improvement.

In one month we had nearly 40 Safety Observation Conversation (SOC) and Safety Observation Report (SOR) cards handed back into our site management and safety team. These observations were in addition to ongoing Site Inspections from our site team, safety team and senior management team.

Our Project Manager stated, “The team at Cumberhead are delighted to win the Safety Award this month. Winning this award for 3 months in a row is a great achievement for the Infrastructure Division, especially with the nature of our work in live sub-stations.

The team at Cumberhead have also received praise directly from our client for approaching and speaking to senior management coming onto the site and going the extra mile to brief them about our works and the potential risks and controls”.
